TAL is a Jewish community-led organisation enhancing the lives of young professionals and Jewish youth across London, with a calendar of events, a media portal, and a network of Rabbis and educators behind it.

Our story

Founded to create the future, not wait for it.

TAL was founded by Rabbi Jonathan Tawil with the idea of uniting the community and catering for our youth. At TAL we are not waiting for the future. We are creating it.

We’re open to all those of Jewish background, with a specific concentration on the Sephardic community, and work closely with every community to give our youth a sense of pride in our synagogues and a new exciting environment to flourish in.

Since inception, TAL has flourished. We’ve established a dynamic calendar of events that brings the community together and engages with our youth in fresh, modern ways.

Learning that lasts the week

  • Weekly Parasha sheets with contributions from communal Rabbis, distributed to 25+ synagogues across the UK and read by thousands
  • Chavruta night where people of all backgrounds come and learn together
  • Weekly Shiurim around the community
  • Women’s learning circles and bridal classes led by our Rebbetzins

  • Themed Shabbatons with 200+ attendees at each
  • International Weekends drawing 400+ Young Professionals from across Europe
  • Singles events helping young professionals build relationships
  • Paintballing, go-karting, cooking classes, Melava Malka’s, Chanuka & Purim parties
