About the role

TAL is looking for a Youth and Students Coordinator to take ownership of our flagship community programmes for university students and young professionals. You will plan, host, and grow the weekly events that bring our community together — chavruta nights, lunch and learns, Friday-night dinners, and our monthly Shabbatons across London.

What you will do

  • Plan and run our weekly student events end-to-end
  • Build relationships with university JSocs and student leadership
  • Coordinate volunteer hosts for Friday-night Shabbat hospitality
  • Run our monthly Shabbatons (5 to 6 a year), from venue to catering to programme
  • Hold one-to-one mentoring conversations with students who reach out
  • Manage the events calendar in our admin system and keep RSVPs up to date
  • Represent TAL at community events and at universities

Who we are looking for

  • Genuine warmth and a love for building community
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to juggle several events at once
  • A degree or equivalent experience in education, community work, or hospitality
  • Experience working with students or young adults is a strong plus
  • Comfortable with light tech: spreadsheets, Google Workspace, our admin tools
  • Driving licence (we sometimes need to ferry kit between venues)

What you get

  • A salary that reflects the role and your experience
  • Generous holiday plus all major Jewish festivals
  • The chance to shape programming directly with the TAL leadership team
  • Travel within Greater London paid
